EYE leads with professional-grade LED fixtures at SPARC | Eye Lighting Pod at SPARC (460W Blitz front right) | EYE’s “Blitz” LED floodlight was the leader at the recent SPARC International Lighting Event 2011 amongst other LED fixtures in terms of raw lumen output for a professional “outdoor-grade” fixture. This 460W floodlight produces an equivalent output to high quality one-kilowatt Metal Halide types and was first designed to light up the Takahama Bridge in Osaka Japan.
The SPARC International Lighting Event 2011 held in Sydney, which extended over three days from 6-8 June was a raging success. Exhibitors were only allowed to display innovative products younger than 12 months old and this raised the bar for those who were featured. The lectures by high profile speakers on topical issues in lighting were extremely popular. A fantastic range of lighting displays were staged across Sydney in conjunction with the SPARC event.
The LEDioc Flood Blitz led the range of professional grade LED fixtures and new Ceramic Metal Halide products that were featured on the EYE Lighting Australia display. It is not just about performance either for the LEDioc Flood Blitz. In comparison to a one-kilowatt MH type it can save up to 2.9 tonnes of CO2 emissions each year and reduces maintenance costs with its life rating of 40,000 hours. The slick look of the Blitz also matches its performance capability.
Other LED fixtures launched at SPARC included professional-grade high bays and floodlights, a specialised broad beam flood for signage purposes and a unique reflector lamp replacement with a unique light-weight resin heat sink. Comparison data was made available to prove the energy-saving credentials of all these fixtures against relevant HID products.
In terms of Ceramic Metal Halide lamps, the new high efficacy types were on display together with new concept twin arcs (40,000 hours life) and an amazing mercury-free type.
EYE Lighting Australia was fortunate to have a large contingent of lighting engineers from Iwasaki Electric Co Ltd (its parent company based in Tokyo) on hand at its display to assist attendees with technical questions. Guests had the opportunity of speaking with some of the actual designers of the products on display.
The design of the EYE Lighting display itself created a stunning contemporary backdrop in keeping with the new products presented and it drew many favourable comments from attendees.Posted Thursday, 16th June 2011. |
